Bored out of my mind I went to Fnac with lady Wife and layed my eyes on what looked like a kind of expensive XBox toy :), the Joytech Williams F1 Team Racing Wheel . It had no price tag so I didn't dismiss it right away and asked for a price ... my my, not nearly as expensive as it looked, so this could only mean one thing .... it was mine :) . Seems solid enough, it has a led display and led bar that shows how much the throttle is being pressed and it came with colin mcrae rally 3 included so I'm a happy, not that poorer guy right now :)
